In tow 0(( the start we re Michael Dupo nt, Ryan Zimmerman a nd Kerry Kamin sk ie Jr. Aft er half a lap , Law er ence had a sizable lea d, and he continued to stretch that lead w ith each subsequent lap . Afte r 2 1/2 laps, the top fo ur were unc hanged. bu t Ryan Blizzard passed Fleischman for fifth. Lawerence started lap three w ith a IO-second advantage . Law e re nce and W hr ite nou r came aroun d the switchback first turn in the final mota side by side , but Law e ren ce had t he lead by t he second tu rn . After half a lap, the ru nning orde r wa s Laweren ce , Whrit eno ur, D u po nt , Kaminskie and Gesso . Lawerence, clearly in a class by him self . had o pe ned up a n e ightsecond lead by the start of lap two , and he almo st dou bled it on lap th ree. Carsten ( 1-2) topped the 250cc O pen Pro/Expe rt podi um . whi le Wallace (3- 1) took second overall. In the 125cc Pro/ Expe rt class, Wallace ( I - I) topped the podium, and Carsten (2-2) was run ner-up. Gr eg Pamart led th e start of the first 2S0cc O pe n Pro/ Expert mo to , w ith Wallace , Casey Clark, Richard Schm idt and Carsten following. Pamart tried to hold off Wallace , but Wallace got by on lap two. Clark and Carst en battled for th ird. Carst en eventually made his way up to seco nd and t hen inherited th e lead when Wallace wen t down on lap five . Cars te n got the moto w in, w it h Clar k, Wallace , Dave Ginol fi and Jason Harper tra iling. Wallace 's 450F Honda thumper got him the holeshot in the final Open Pro/E xpert moto. In t ow were Parnart , Do nald D isciullo Jr.• and G inolfi. By the end o f lap o ne, the top five were Wallace, Pamart . Ginolfi, Matt Eastman and Carsten. Eventually, Carsten and Eastm an wo rked th ei r way up to second and t hird , w hile Pam ar t s low ly fad e d back. Wallace crossed the finish line with a fo ur-second ga p o n Cars ten . East man , G ino lfi a nd Cl ar k roun ded out the top five.
