Michigan Manufacturers Cup Seri es Round ,: District ' 4 Motocross Bulldog s Motorcycle Club MILLINGTON, MI, APR. 11 M ichigan mo toc ross plus Easte r equals a sand ride r's dream: factory contingencies at the Bulldogs M/C's annual Bunny Bash. AMA District 14 Motocross kicked off the new Michigan Manufacturers Cup Ser ies in Millington, as riders from aro und the Midwe st made a play for factory money from Honda, Kawasak i and Suzuki. Jar ett Pesci and Kreg Bige low took a pair of overalls, runn ing up front in the Mini and Vet classes, respectively. In 65cc act ion, Dougie Moline grabbed the win in mota one, topping Pesci, Skyler Bray, Dakota Trott and Tyler Delaney as the group of up-and-coming Michigan Mini riders circu lated the Bulldogs track at a high rate of speed all moto long. In mota tw o , Pesci was see king revenge on Moline. Pesci had his throttle hand in t he right positio n and rode away wit h the In the Over 35 class, Craig Pickett (3-2) and Mark Cheza (2 -3) traded spo ts in the two matos, with Pickett taki ng the up per hand in moto two , which gave him second overall, while Cheza was third . Jim Bro w n (4-4) was consistent in both metes to claim fourth , with Lee Fleischmann (6-5) rounding out the top five. Bigelow won both moto s in the Over 40 class. The sandy Bulldogs track really agrees w ith Bigelow and his Planet Honda/MCR Suspension-backed CRF450R. Pickett (3-2) was once again the bridesmaid, w it h Kip Bigelow (2-5) solid in third . Tech-Care Suspension boss Dave Bowman (5-3) was fourt h ove rall, and Lenny Hulton (6-4) too k fifth on his home track. Jeremy Hughso n ( I- I) w on the N o nCurre nt class go ing aw ay. Arkansa s Hare Scramble s Cha m pions hip Series Round 4 : Superlift Hare Scram bles Moore St eams to Hot Springs Win By PAM CARR HOT SPRINGS, AR, APR. 11 T he Ar ka ns as Dirt Riders hosted the Arkansas Hare Scrambles Cha mpions hip Series' fourth round , the Superlift Hare Scrambles. The course was a little longer than usual and provided riders with plenty of different trail. Twe lve AA riders made thei r w ay to the starting line. KTM rider Josh Poteete pulled the hol e sho t. Hayden Moore and Trav Tacker follow ed closely. Yamaha of Russellville rider Clint Carr fell in the first corner and had to work his way up to the front. Then Poteete was knoc ked out of t he race with a flat , leaving www.cycienEWs.com Moo re w ith t he lead . Tac ker moved into secon d and was riding outstandingly, but going th rough so me wet lowland, he hit a batch of roo ts that sent him to the ground . "I wr ecked on some roots and fell back to about seventh ," said Tacker. "I knew there was a lot of ground to make up, so I put my head down and rode as smoothly as possible." At the end of the first lap, Moore had a 30second lead ove r se co nd- place rider Dre w Chand ler. Carr had pu lled into third , 53 seco nds behind Moore.
