In the second moto, Cory got out fro nt first, chased closely by
Barbaree and then Brad Calhoun. aboard his KX2S0F. Making up
for a poor start. Trae was on the gas and making up ground, wh ile
Barbaree continued to pressure the other Norto n for the lead.
Just past the halfway mark, Barbaree took th e lead when Cory

in. As the check ered flag came out , Barbaree claimed moto two,
just ahead of the hard -cha rging Trae and his brothe r Cory. Weems

In the Mini ranks, te nsion brew ed as the Supermini class lined
up on the gate. The holeshot for the first mot o went to the KTM mo unted Nick Ramey, wh o came from the outsi de t o steal the
lead . Behind him were Calhoun. Warren Brown and Briar Samp le.
This foursome stayed within secon ds of one another for the en tire
moto. Brown, aboard his Yamaha, stayed fast and consiste nt to
wi n t he mota after numerous le a d changes amo ng Ramey.

Whe n the gate fell for moto two, Calhoun got out fro nt early,
just ahea d 01 Samp le and Ram ey. As Ca lho un began to get
com lortable in the lea d. Ramey began turning it up . and he made
his way past Sample and set out alter the leader. Brown also made
his way around t he you ng Sample and into third. Up fro nt .
Calhoun was starting to reel the pressure as Ramey systematically
made t ime on him in t he back rhythm section , but when the
checkers flew. Ca lhoun was able to ho ld on lor the win. ahea d o f
Ramey and Brown.
In oth e r notable race act ion, 125cc Beginne rs R.D. John so n
and Fate Tanner swa pped mot a wins , with Johnso n taking the
more important second-mota win for the overall victory. Sample
wo n the 65cc (9- 1I) class . while Lance Hollister swept th e I2Scc
