SoBe Beverages announced today that motocross star and Team
Lizard athlete Travis Pastrana has inspired the company 's latest
packaging change . A new label design for SoBe's Liz Fuel beverage
will begin hitting store shelves in early April, featuring the cartoon
SoBe Lizard ripping off a nac nac and running Pastrana's number
199 on his back and on the motorcycle. SoBe also announced
that the name for the strawberry banana-flavored beverage has
been shortened from "Lizard Fuel" to "Liz Fuel."
"SoBe has made a huge comm itment to motocross over
the past several years, " said SoBe VP of marketing, Tom
Smallhorn. "It' s one of the most influential, trend-set ting sports in the country today, and it appeals to
our edgy core audience. The new label design for
Liz Fuel is a great way to leverage our strong relationship with Travis Pastrana and update our
product packaging with a fun SoBe twist ."

modeled after me ," Pastrana said. ''Anything that
supports the sport of motocross and shows
people what it's all about is great. SoBe's been
a huge motocross advocate and a strong supporter of me and my career. The new Liz Fuel
bottle is a fun way to tell the world about our
relationship ."
The new Liz Fuel bottles will start hitting
store shelves in early spring, and the existing
bottles of Lizard Fuel featur ing a mountain
biking graphic will be phased out.

Hayden
T he three Hayden boys, Tommy, Roger Lee and
Nicky, recently made an app earance at Cycle Pit
Stop at 3404 E. Chapman Avenue in Orange, California , to sign autographs for the fans on the Monday night following the Superbike national at California Speedway in Fontan a, California. Nicky was
in town visiting his brothers prior to heading to
South Africa for the opening round of the
MotoGP season next we e k at Welkom. Tommy
and Roger Lee had just wrapped up excellent
weekends at Fontana , w ith Tommy winning the
Supersport race and Roger Lee rounding out the
podium in third . In the Superstock race Roger Lee
beat his big brother to the line, finishing sixth to
Tommy's seventh. Cycle Pit Stop has helped the
Haydens out in the past, and the guys decided
that an autograph signing would be a nice way to
show their appreciation.
