Steele Creek GNCC Win to Smith Briefly... o odney Smith, who recently celebrated Adam Raga (GG) won round 10 of the 2004 World Indoor Trials C ham pionship Series in Nice, France, o n March 20. Albert Cabestany (Bet) was second, and Doug Lampkin (Mon) was third. ~is 40th birthday, recorded his second win of the Grand Nat ional Cross Country Series at the Stee le Creek GNCC in Morganton , North Carolina , on March 2 1. Smith , on the Team Suzuki O ff-Road RM2S0, made a late-race charge on leader Jason Raines, passing him w ith just a few miles left and holding him off to score the win, desp ite repeated attempts by Raines to get the lead back. "I just ke pt pushing," Smith said. " I think it worked out with the lappers .
