"I made two gas stops today, and the second one really cost me ," Green said. "I had just passed Kanney when I had to stop. Each time I was right in there, and then I'd have to stop for gas while he broke away." Sixteen year-old Justin Williamson had a good day, as he paced himself with Green for most of the day, finishing seventh. Williamson said, "I got a bad start and slowly made my way up from the re . During the last three laps, Green and I went back and fort h. I'd pass him, and he'd pass me back. O n the last lap he got me w hen I got stuck on a log. I just ran out of time." Ste ve Leivan finished o ut his ride in eighth place. "I had trouble right from the start," Leivan said. "I tried a seco nd-gear, uphill start, and it just dic!n't worlk. I must have bee n dead last and had to really work my way up. After a couple of laps, I caught up to Williamson and Gree n, and we ended up riding a lot together." The PJI Wildcat 100 was the second off-road event ever held on the 350-acre Wildcat Ranch owned by Mary and Mike Snook.
