T M' S Dav id Lykke hasn't
even ridden his bike since the
last National Enduro in California one month ago, but
hat didn't seem to slow him
down any, as he posted the fastest card
at the Cherokee National Enduro to
claim his second win in the three-roundold series . The win was close , though , as
he edged out Steve Hatch by just 20 seconds on the tie-breakers.
'" still feel a little shell-shocked, even
from my first win in Arizona," Lykke said.
"Now to win another event is just incredible. Things are going good, the bike is
working good , and when the snow finally
melts up in Michigan and Iget a chance to
ride and set up the bike, I gotta believe
things are going to get better yet. At least
I hope they will."
Lykke was just beside himself after
realizing he had, in fact, won the enduro.
which gives him a 19-point lead over
Hatch in the champ ionship points battle .
"It is on ly three roun ds into it," Lykke
said, "so I don't even want to start think-
