It was an afternoon of surprises, as each of the 0
riders got something he didn't bargain for, whether
was a good bargain or a disaster.
The leveled-out playing field of World Superb ike
2004 proved to be something of a skidpan in race
one, even more so than in the previous cold an
dusty conditions of the fi rst couple of days.
The beginning of the race weekend was a simple
affair: Ducati Fila's Regis Laconi all the way, the
