""...the temperature dropped, and the ride on the road contributed to freezing hands and feet on all of the pilots/' situation was quite uncertain, because some sections were very easy, while others were almost impossible. Meanwhile the temperature dropped, and the ride on the road contributed to freezing hands and feet on all ofthe pilots . Many ofthem decided to retire, though th is was not the case with the top riders. Colomer scored 27 po ints and won the day, followed by Bilbao with 35, Lenzi 38 , and Daria Re Delle Gandine and Basis on 40 . DAY TWO Rain dropped lightly when the first rider started at 8:30 a.m., ready to face 25 sec- t io ns and a loop of about 50 miles . The start was reversed from the day before. The top riders were all grouped together, almost in the center of the field. Again the high step of section one cost many riders heavy points. This time Colomer did not make the climb , while Lenzi, Re Delle Gandine and Daniele Maurino were able to overtake it. Taking a five was like an alarm signal to Colomer, something to remind him to keep high his concentration, and so he did. After dropping five points in that first section, he only dropped another two in the remaining 24 sections. Behind him, the fight for second place was wide open until the last section. Lenzi cleaned section one to overtake Bilbao at the beginning of the loop, then they continued to alternate back and forth the rest of the way. Bilbao ended up getting the spot by just one point. Finally Manzano rode at good level and climbed 3 posieN tions, finishing in fourth . MOTO CLUB MONZA MONZA, ITALY RESULTS: FEBRUARY 21-22, 2004 INrL CL: I. t1.v< Colome< (GG) 34; 2.
