work of D ow d , passing him through t he

and Demut h stuck in fourth, lange took
advantage of the situation and was soon
leading by a healthy margin.
" I got off to a great start and managed
to get by Dowd pretty qu ick," lange said .
" I just rod e my own race and t ried not to
make any mistak es."
While lange was pull ing awa y out front,
Demuth was on the move as well and
made it past Johnso n for th ird and began to
show a w heel t o Dowd in an effort to

to his broken leg.
