Weigand ran out fro nt for a l on g time before b ei n g t racke d down by Rya n Hughes, who suffered a bad start and had to work his way up through wh at must have seem ed li k e 100 riders. Hughes lo ok ed to be on his way to his second consec utive Coup de Gra c e v i ct or y u n t i l h is engine brok e. Weig and conti nued on for the win with a hard- charging Mik e Kiedrowski closing the gap in second toward the end of the race . Jessie Casill as fi nished thi rd , ahead of Todd Gossela ar and Ward .
