J osh Borges blasted hi s Honda off the li ne to lead Bill y Swa pp , Yama ha -mount ed Kell y O ld royd and the rest of the field when the gate dropped for moto one. Posey j oin ed the lead pa ck and started wo rk ing his w ay forward. Borg es, Swapp and Posey upped the pace and bega n to pull away from th e rest of the pack. The acti o n was fu ri ou s as th e th ree leaders roared around th e co urse. Borg es was looking golde n until th e sta rt o f the white-flag lap, wh en a ma j or crash over the fini sh -lin e tab letop pu t him out of ac tion for the day. Swapp inherited the lead and did n't wa ste it , ro lling to the m ote -o ne win . Focu sed and determined , Posey ex ploded ou t of the block s to lead J am es Beck and Swapp as the second ha lf crank ed up. Swap p had his Suzuki in high gear as he foug ht past B eck to c h a lle n ge Po sey for th e top spot. Swapp knew th at he had to pass Posey for the overall, but try as he might , he co uldn't fight th rou gh . even th ough th e two lead ers' torrid pace had pus hed them far out in front of the pack . Savage went down hard ove r the tabletop , leavi ng A hlee n with the th ird slot. T om ac went o n to win the first half, leading Goo dw in , Ahl een and Pric e through the checkers . Tom ac rock eted off the lin e to lead Goodwin , A h leen and Savage as pa rt tw o opened up . Th is race was mu ch more sta ti c, as posl tio ns rem ain ed un c hang ed thro ugh out the race .
