T he main ev ent had to be po st pon ed for 15 m inu tes whil e cl ub m embers rerou ted t he trail aro u nd m uddy secti o ns th at had swa llowed sev eral of the C-c1as s bikes. Once the hat dropped, Casey Cycle Clt y/Chick- fl lA /ESC-sponsored Yamaha rider J ason Greer was har d on th e throttle and o ut in front o f the AA pack . Wh en Morri son found Bak er o n the gro und , he took a nothe r line around a mudhol e sectio n , launchi ng an effo rt to chase Greer. Bu t for th e rest of the four la ps, Greer co uld not be ca ug ht. Gre er avera li ed with a five -min ute lead over Morri son . 'T he mud at a wa ter crossing got m e on th e fi rst lap ," Greer ad mitted. " It was rough, but I tho ught it was a goo d co urse ." Baker and Jones diced back and forth for third. A t on e po int , Ba k er w rec k ed right in front of Jon es, but instead of bl astin g over th e top of him , Jones wa ited for Ba ker to get up and going. Th en th e two riders fre lqht- trai ned right across the finish , with Bak er in thi rd and Travis j ust seco nd s behind in fou rth . In t he 200cc A cl ass, KTM rid er J aso n Hedrick led the first lap, w ith Brewers Cycle of Hen de rso n/Fac tory 909 / FMF-backed KTM rider Robb y Norwood rig ht on his rear fend er. Norw ood turn ed up th e thrott le an d took the lead du ring th e second lap . At the checke rs, Norwood had put six mi nutes betw een hi m self an d Hed r ic k , who c a me in se c o n d . G &G Cycles Honda rider J osh Gray rode a consistent race to tak e third. K aw asa ki rider Derek Kutch er to o k th e early lead in the 250cc A class. By th e end of th e seco nd lap , Motorcycles Costa Rica /Ma rk IV Yam aha ride r Chuc k Han coc k had tak en th e lead . Hanco ck fin ished fi rst , addi ng this v ic tory to th e co llection of w ins that earn ed him the cla ss cham pionship. Higher Grou nds Coffe e-sponsored Yama ha rider Charles Lewi s settled into second, but on the last lap he got stuc k in a m udho le. Seeing Kutcher com ing down the trail wa s th e motivation he needed to wrenc h his bike free and rid e on to keep second . Kut cher came in right behind Lew is for third. In the Four-Stro k e A cla ss, Wayne's Cycle Sh op KTM ride r Robe rt Wag ne r t o o k th e hol eshot. Wagner pu lled ov er fo r Yamaha ri der A ndrew Wi ll iams and Hond a of Norf olk rid er J ason Balonis. Wh en Will iams pu lled ov er for a p it stop, Balon is took the lea d and held it for th e wi n . Will iam s cam e ac ro ss th e fi n ish in seco nd, and Wagner came throu gh in third . Hon ey c utt got buri ed i n a cr ee k crossi ng , an d K aw asaki rider Michael Bakken and Hond a r id e r Da v id Bal dw in p a ssed h im . Baldwin found Bak ken stuck in th e mud and took over th e lea d . Fin d ing the rig ht li nes through the mud, Baldwin avoided gett ing stuck and came throug h the fi ni sh with th e win . Bak k en d ug himself ou t o f th e mud to tak e sec o nd , and Honey cutt cam e in 30 seco nds later for th ird. In the Mini A class, Kawasaki rid er Ni ck Smith bolt ed off the lin e ahead of Pirelli / Sign Design- backed Kawasa k i ride r Brad B ak k en and Hond a ri der Ryan Rob b ins . Smith got st u ck in a na st y rut , w hich gave Bra d th e op port unit y to g rab the first. Durin g th e sec ond lap , Ro b b i n s got a round S m ith and chase d after Br ad , but Brad stayed out in fron t until th e finish , add ing th is last victory to the string of wins that earned him the clas s cham pi on ship . Robb in s came in 20 secon ds behind B r ad f or se con d p la c e , and Sm it h c a m e across the finish in th ird . Severa l m inutes ahea d of the rest of the class, Kawasak i rider Jessica Morri son got th e w in and the cha m p io ns hi p in th e Wom en' s class . Cyc le Junctio n/Jarman 's Sport s Cycl es K awasaki rid er Jennie Blak e worked her way from rn idpa ck to tak e seco nd p lac e, pa ssing Ka wasak i rider Heath er Greer in a na sty m ud hole on th e last lap.
