Green's Destry Abbott, but he turned
that around and proved he's fit and
fast once again by teaming with
Shane Esposito to win TSCO's Vegas
to Reno convincingly today in a stunning eight hours, 12 minutes and 36
seconds. In other words, they averaged more than 62 miles per hour for
the 511-mile event on their John
Braasch-prepared Chevy Trucks/IMS/
Maxima-sponsored KX500. It marked
the first Vegas-to-Reno victory for
Abbott and the second for Esposito
(his first was in 1999).
