match for sixth, behind the threesome contesting second. Hayes took the victory, with Batey two seconds back. Moore finished third, followed by Weber and Jacobi. "I just like to get the track time and see the guys that used to whip on me like Mark Junge, Tray Batey and John Jacobi," Hayes said. '" like coming out here, racing with myoid friends." "Josh was riding really good," Batey said, "and I definitely got beat." Batey took the Chris Junge-tuned Suzuki TLl 000 to the front and to the victory in the Heavyweight Twin Expert race. Champion rode brilliantly on his SV to hold second for a few laps, but Bill St. John was on the charge with his Project Monza/BCM Racing Ducati 996, and he captured second, though he couldn't run down Batey. Novice racer Fred Bittner used every ounce of power in his Fast By Ferracci Ducati 996 to stay ahead in the Novice portion of this race, and he even passed a few of the Experts. Steve Scarbro held a good second, with Honda-mounted Ben Gallagher getting by Ducatimounted Nations for third. Nicky Wimbauer grabbed the lead off the first wave of the combined 600cc Superbike race on his Info TechfYalter Moto Yamaha R6. On the second lap, Weber took the XT Racing/OuterExtremes Suzuki to the front, while Greg Myers moved up to challenge Wimbauer. Starting from the second wave, Novice rider Lynn was on the move, and he raced all the way to fourth overall, first in class. Crescent Trucks Suzuki's Bill Conger and Pirelli/Voltex Suzuki's Chris Kessler ran second and third. At the halfway point, Myers moved to second, over Wimbauer, with Yamaha-mounted Bobby Miosek in fourth. "Being my first year racing, it was fun ,getting to race with the Experts," Novice winner Lynn stated. "I want to thank Suzuki of Canton and my dad for their support." In the Formula Two Expert race, Chris Norsand, on his Tight Squeeze Suzuki SV, played referee between Kcraget's 125cc Honda and Andrews' 125cc Aprilia. The SV was faster on the straights, but the Honda held the advantage in the corners. Behind these battling experts, Travis Stewart took his VesrahfYortex SV to the lead in the Novice portion of the race. Bruce Stanford and Dennis Garber ran second and third on their Suzuki SVs. At the checkered flag, Kcraget took the victory. Again, it was a two-wave start in the 750cc Superbike race. Weber had the power to take the lead on his XT Racing Suzuki 750. Charles Ivey took second, with Myers in third. Youngster Wimbauer had his hands full battling with St. John on the Ducati. George Gentle took his Suzuki 750 from the second-wave start to the middle of the Expert pack; This firstyear Novice got a little too eager as he worked his through the Experts and crashed out in turn four. With their leader out, Novice racers Steve Green, Bittner and Conger turned up the wick. Bittner tried every line with his Ducati to get by Green, but Green wanted to cross the line first on his beautifully painted, gold Cycle One/Dunlop Yamaha R6. Meanwhile, up front, Weber took the Expert tie more in his RonAyers.com/Teknic Suzuki 750 and took second, over Gittere on the RepairManual.com/ Air Tech Suzuki 1000.
