It may be relatively desolate near Battle Mountain, out in the middle of the Nevada desert,
but it's still cool to see a motocross image adorning a bitlboard anywhere. The bitlboard is
aJong Interstate 80 on the way into Battle Mountain and features racer Jimmy Nelson,
who comes from the area.
Wannabe Racers To Race
If you want to see many of the journalists from your favorite motorcycle publications battle in the ultimate grudge match, Two Brothers Racing's Mini Supermoto race is just the
ticket. The race witl be held on Saturday, July 12, in conjunction with round one of the
inaugural AMA Red Bull Supermoto Championship at Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey,
California, the weekend of the World Superbike Race, July 11-13, 2003.
The race will be promoted and officiated by Two Brothers Racing and will feature 15
stock Kawasaki KLX 11 0

modeJ,producing 136 bhp 1n road form, has been eonfn:med to take off in April 2004; rather
than in October of this year as previously envisaged. The delay is likely to avoid cijsttacting
attention from the forthcoming all-l'lew Aprilia RSV-R MIlle, '¥hJch has already been <::aptured
on film undergoing tests at Croatia's Rljeka circuit and is expected to be one of the stars of
the Milan Show in September.
The high-spec lightweight La"erda SFC1000 wm be fitted With 0hJins suspension, radially
mounted Brembo brakes, and mapy titanium components. including the silencers, and Will
$ell in Italy for Euro 25,000 ($29,000), initially builtin a strictly limited edition, Individually
numbered run of just 549 units - the same number of examples as the entire l'roduction total
of Laverda's legendary SFC750 production ,racer built in the firm's Br.eganze factory in the
1960s and '70s, and the first time that Aprilia has followed the high-end, limited-edItion route
