California Racing Club Ounestown Series Round 3: Edwards Air Force Base Jess Drake (64) leads Tanner Langham (31), Ricky Barger (716), Sean Kranyak (1 g) and the rest of the pack at the start of the second 125cc Novice moto, but Adam Lane (101) came out of the pack in both motos to go 1-2 for the overall class win at round three of the California Racing Club Dunestown Series. Lane picked up the second-place trophy with 2-2 rides, over the consistent 4-4 scores of Smith and the 8-3 tally of Morris. Daryl Ecklund and Justin Eide continued their ongoing fight for supremacy in the 125cc and 250cc Intermediate classes during this series. Ecklund went 1- 1 in the 250cc class aboard his Chaparral/Tom Morgan Racing-backed Honda. Eide kept him honest throughout both motos en route to 2-2 finishes, ahead of Joshua Coffey and Bobby Steffan. Ecklund went wire to wire in the opening 125cc race, with Eide just a couple of seconds off his pace as the checkers waved. Eide got the holeshot in moto two. Ecklund tried to stuff his way into the lead at the end of the back straight, only to end up on the ground and back in fourth place before getting restarted. The moto and the overall belonged to the Mid Cities-backed Eide. Ecklund was all over Anthony Barbacovi at the finish for a close third and second overall. Third went to Barbacovi on 3-2 rides, followed by Ryan Reina (4-4) and Ricky Parks (7-5). Robert Memoli was flat haulin' in the Supermini class. Memoli and his Axo/Scott/Race Tech-sponsored CR85 were railing Edwards' sandy berms with the best of them en route to a convincing 1-1 sweep.
