WA, APR. 27 Three different Pros walked away with the top Thomas crowding his space. LaMastus used his jumping and cornering skills to hold off the hard chargers for first. it looked like moto two wouid be a repeat money in the three classes on Sunday at of moto one for laMastus as he muscled the round six of PRO's Series. More than 500 rid- 125 around Beaudry Bowl. laMastus kept the gas on, but so did Sullivan, and this lime Sulli- ers made it to the gates to vie for money, series points, and just good oi' braggin' rights in this hotly contested round. Another interna· tiona I group of riders from Idaho, Montana, Washington, Oregon and Canada were on hand to try for Ted DeVol's cash and trophies. Jimmy "The Fastest" LaMastus set the pace in the 250cc Pro class with an awesome holeshot in moto one. Nick Foister, Chaun McAlister, Konrad Kuest, Greg Crater, Sean "Sparky" Sparkman and Brandon Thomas were all battling for the rest of the payout slots van was able to catch and pass LaMastus. Sullivan, LaMastus and Thomas went one· two· three overall. Missoula, Montana's Sam "da Griz" Cooke hit an awesome holeshot in the first moto of the 125cc Junior class, but he couldn't hold it. Seth Koker and another Montana rider, Cole "Bobcat" Meyer, got past Cooke for first and second. Koker, Meyer and Jason Potter got out of the 33-bike, first-turn traffic jam around the track. McAlister pulled off on lap unscathed and continued to battle three-wide, at times in the air. Koker held on for first, with Meyer second. Justin Benzel put together two consistent fifth-place motos, which were good three, leaving Kuest and Foister in second and enough to capture the final podium spot. on the Extreme Motorsports track. McAlister. Kuest, Foister and Crater went bar bangin' Some of the day's fastest lap times were third. In mota two, the same 13 Pros hit the first corner bunched up, with Kuest getting the holeshot. LaMastus and McAlister reeled him in, and the battle was onl Blasting through the rutted whoop section, McAlister had a nasty get·off into a bale and the fence, ending his day. Kuest and Crater were gaining on laMas· tus, but they couidn't match his pace. The top payout spot went to laMastus, with Kuest second and Crater third. Thomas and Sparkman rounded out the top five. McAlister shot out of the gates like a Patriot missile in moto one of the Unlimited Pro class, with Kuest and Crater right on his heels. Kuest and Crater swapped spots throughout the entire moto, with Kuest the fastest at the end. With McAlister out for moto two, Kuest put his hometrack knowledge to work, taking the top champagne spot. Crater and Foister rounded out the podium. Rory Sullivan, Thomas, Sparkman, Kyle Versteeg, Ryan Mortensen, Gerald Knifong and Royce DeVol all put in top- 10 rides. LaMastus is a big rider for a 125, but it didn't slow him down much. The tiddler bike had enough power to get him to the first turn . first, but not without Sullivan, McAlister and eye posted by Sam DeAtley in the Supermini class, putting in two outstanding rides. Meyer and Chris Howell battled for second in moto one, Kyle Evans sneaked in behind Howell for third in moto two, Howell finish second over· all, just ahead of his sister Shiri. Kyle Evans and Tevin Tapia filled out the top five. The top riders in the Women's Sportsman class looked Like the same ones at round five. Shiri used her hometrack knowledge to stay ahead of Britannia James and Ryane Gordon, and they finished in that order in both motos. The 60cc Junior riders were not far off the Intermediates' lap times. Trent Jones nosed into the corner first in moto one, with Noah Bailey, Cole Scott and Cameron Jungers pushing him wide. Jones held his line, and the four rode neck and neck for the rest of the moto, until Jungers tangled with some ruts and fell back to fifth. Bailey and Scott hung on for second and third. Jones had the qUickest throttle hand in moto two as well, with Bailey, Cody Evanson and Biake Torok giving chase. Scott had a tough start but began picking his way through the pack; by lap four, Scott had sneaked up to Bailey and passed him for second place.
