Product Evaluation SOL.- ,S IVoC-~r,/ C 3CCC~Y P3 Player $1SS.SS 866/MP3-MOTO vvwvv.motomp3.com When Putter from MotoMP3 dropped by to give us a MotoMP3 player for evaluation, it's only fair that I say that I was skeptical to say the least. I love music, but [ was afraid of mixing music with mota. Would I lose concentration and crash? Would the unit even stay on my helmet - especially if I fall? I didn't know what to expect. I got 20 of my favorite hard rock songs into the player before I decided to give it a tryon the track. I put it in shume mode, threw on my trusty old Arai lid with the player installed, and I was immediately impressed - well, actually, I was winded and then impressed. It also happened to be the first time I tested the 250cc project bike I built, and when I hit the track for the first time, I got so caught up in the music I was listening to that I overjumped a tabletop right away and wracked myself, immediately knocking my wind out. Immediately, I decided I should try to concentrate just on riding and keep the music in the background. Once I made the mental switch (even tbough I kept the music at the same volume - all the way up), the MotoMP3 player actually did me a lot of good. I found I could ride harder for longer without noticing problems such as arm-pump, and the music actually helped keep me in rhythm on the track as well. I also couldn't hear other things that normally cost me concentration on the track, such as the clacking of the chain. I haven't actually raced with the player yet, but I can't see how it would work any differently in race conditions - especially if you already wear earplugs regularly. In my opinion, the MotoMP3 player does more than just entertain, it actually aids you in riding longer matos, faster than you did before, which was a somewhat unexpected result for me.
