decided to apply the pressure and take back what he'd earned from the start. Rye went down in the turn; Burke regained his lead, and Rodarte moved into second. Rye fe-entered the race in third and quickly made a pass on Rodarte to take over second. The checkered flag came out, and Burke took the win, followed by Rye and Rodarte. Burke again nailed the holeshot in the sec- ond molo, and this time Travis Posey was close behind. Burke set the pace and looked comfortable while he distanced himself slightly from Posey. Rye, however, got a bad start, but he was quickly making his way toward the front. The white flag signaled to Burke that he was one lap away from victory. Meanwhile, Posey was feeling the pressure from Rye, who knew he had only one lap left to make a pass. Rye worked the hardest in this molo, and he was able to make a pass on Posey down the back straight for second. Burke took the win and the overall, followed by Rye and Posey. Some of the most exciting racing of the evening was in the 85cc Open class. Shawn Hayes took the overall despite some tough competition from Tony Blood. Cody Jefferies nailed the holeshot, followed by Blood, Donnie Kearney, Nick Paluzzi and Hayes. Blood got by Jefferies for the lead, while Hayes was quickly making his way up toward the front by passing Kearney and Paluzzi. Before long, he made his pass on Jefferies for the secondplace position. Paluzzi decided he was not about to settle for fifth, so he made a charge on Kearney and then passed Jefferies and settled into third. The checkered flag came out, and Blood took the win, followed by Hayes and Paluzzi. Hayes pulled the second-mota holeshot, followed by Blood and Kearney. Hayes and Blood stayed close the entire race. On the last lap, Blood made his move down the back straight and passed Hayes before going into the whoops. Hayes retaliated, and they were side by side through the whoops and down the straight. Blood took the inside turn, Hayes railed the outside, and before the finish line, Hayes was able to inch out Blood for the win. Hayes took the win and the overall, followed by Blood and Kearney.
