At the end of the day, it was Dustin Nelson who captured the overall 250cc Pro cash and Larry Reese Jr. who dominated the 125cc Intenmediate and 125cc (16-25) classes. Nelson had to earn his Pro purse after losing the first moto to Tim Beatty. Nelson matched Beatty's pace and tried to take the lead on the last lap but let his front wheel wash out while trying to cut inside Beatty. In the final moto, the two provided race fans with a lot of action, swapping the lead several times. Nelson had to chase Beatty down after Beatty 90t the holeshot. Nelson rode close enough to challenge for the lead several times but really didn't make a pass until the last lap. However, Beatty was able to come back on two occasions, but when the checkered came out, it was Nelson winning by a small margin. In Intermediate action, Larry Reese set a pace that left the battle for second between Jon Meyers and David Meyers. Jon ended up second overall after placing 2-3 in the event. Reese also put in a dominating effort in the 125cc (16-25) class as well. Marcos Reyes finished second. Reyes then came out later in the 250cc Intermediate class and took repeat wins. Reyes first beat David, and then Jon in the following mota. Jon ended the day second, over David, and Anthony Charette was a close fourth in both motos. Neal "Holeshot" De Garmo consistently got the jump on the other 250cc Novice riders. Getting out front early earned De Garmo the overall, as he won round one and then trailed Randy Rush in moto two. Rush went 5-1 to earn second overall. Earlier in the day, Rush won the Over 30 Intermediate class with 2- 1 results. Michael Hall led the 85cc Intermediates around tum one in both motos. Hall couldn't hold off Joshua Huerta in moto one, but he came back in the following race, charging to capture the overall. Huerta did not finish round two, and Branden Foley took second overall with his 4-2 showing. Huerta later took repeat wins in the Supermini class. Michael Herrera won round one of the 85cc Novice class but had to settle for second place in mota two once Joey Alvarez set his sights on the checkered fiag. Herrera took home the overall, since Alvarez had turned in a ninthplace effort in moto one. Second overall went to Dustin Ward with a pair of threes. Daniel Overton brought his Polini down to the big track and took repeat wins in the Super Pee Wee event. Overton was challenged by Raymond Houston, but Houston dropped to fourth in the following moto, earning third overall. Second overall went to Starr Savage, also on a Polini, who rode to third and then second. Savage had won her 50cc (7-8) Stock and Modified classes earlier with repeat wins.
