Kilgore was in the hunt, too. and the top three
stayed in each other's roosts and began to pull
away from the pack. Riding the unfamiliar
Honda hard, Marshall caught a nasty bump at
speed, and the back end kicked out violently.
He never backed off the throttle, though, and
rode to a second-place finish, with Kilgore
right behind him.
Mota two was all Marshall's from the getgo. He captured the lead early and was never
headed. Shay. Kilgore, Jones and Poling
rounded out the top five.
Pennsylvania rider Broc Streit had an
exhausting day, entering three classes. The
Kawasaki jockey is making a successful transition from mini to full-sized machines. He
won the Senior Mini with a 1-\ tally, placed
second overall in 125cc Schoolboy (12-15)
class and then won the large 125cc C class.
With 52 entrants in the 125cc C class, qualifiers were held to narrow the field down to the
top 40. Second overall in that class was Suzuki jockey Stephen Reason.
Yamaha-mounted Patrick Whiteman won
all four motos on his way to victory in the
125cc Band 125cc Schoolboy classes.
Young Jimmy Berg claimed two overalls
on the big four-stroke Honda, posting \-1 fin·
ishes in the 250cc B class and also in the
Four·Stroke category.
