Western New York Motocross Association, Inc. Round 2of 29: Silver Springs Racing Dieter's Not Monkeying Around By LARRY WOOSTER Albany Motorsports Park: KTM rider Austin Ullrich soared to an overall 60cc Open-class win during the second of two consecutive days of racing in Albany, Oregon, site of round three of the CMC Northwest Spring/Summer Series. McClinton (1-3) won overall after trailing both Hillman and Tanner Mitchell, the second-place finisher. Mitchell (3-2), Hillman (5-1), Phillip Springer (2-4) and Brad Goodson (4-5) rounded out the top five overall. Hillman came back on Sunday to devour the competition en route to a pair of victories, picking up the 60cc Open and 80cc (9-11) wins, in addition to a third-place finish in the competitive Supermini class. KTM rider Tanner Berry burned the competition for a pair of wins, netting the Pee Wee (7-8) and 60cc Junior victories. Husqvarna rider Nick Randklev continued his winning ways with 125cc and Before The Hill Junior-class wins. The 14-year-old from Albany aced both 125cc Junior motos but didn't duplicate that feat in the Before The Hill class, as Bend, Oregon's Brandon Kentner, son of 1978 National Four-Stroke Champion Rode Kentner, won mota one. Kentner, however, finished a dismal sixth place in mota two, which handed Randklev the overall win. Kentner crashed while running third in the Junior portion of the race and eventually finished sixth after coming from last in the field. Huege and fellow Intermediate rider Justin Jensen ran at the head of the field of riders in both motos to put a lock on the top positions, Yamaha rider Danny Gubser's Albany appearances have been infrequent in the past, but on Sunday the rider from Gervais, Oregon, walked away with a pair of wins in the 80cc (12-13) and Supermini classes, knocking off McClinton and Hillman in order to win the Supermini class. A large field of Women's class contestants were on hand on Sunday. The class was won by former WML Pro Nikki Harris, followed by Vanessa Viter.
