"I got knocked out on Saturday in my qualification race," Dement said, "hit in the eye by a huge rock, then I had to get through the last-chance, just making it. It was never going to be easy from the outside of the grid. 1 passed 14 riders on the first lap, then somebody took me out, and I lost some places." Marc DeRewer eamed the first 12!k:c GP win of his career in what appears to be the most competitive of the three GP classes. De Rewer was never seriously challenged for the lead. "I could not pass him - he just stuck to the inside - and when I did pass him, I pushed to get away from him. Bartolini is now third in the points and, going into the Italian Grand Prix in three weeks, the Italian is excited about his chances of racing for the title. "I have not been quick enough to win a GP: Bartolini said. "I can still get some speed. Some of the tracks in the later part of the season will be good for me, so I am not disappointed at all. I have a great chance of winning my second World title this year. I was having some trouble with my shoulder, though. The collarbone is broken away from the shoulder blade, and on some jumps I could feel the shoulder moving around and was worried it might pull out or tear some ligaments or something, other than that the painkillers worked pretty good.
