Last week in Inside Line we reported that seven-time AMA Supercross Champion Jeremy McGrath was slated to compete in the 27th running of the annual Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race (part of the 29th annual Long Beach Grand Prix) on Saturday, April 12, in Long Beach, California. So here is a follow up to tell you how McGrath performed. McGrath drove his TRD race-prepared Toyota Celica GT-S from the third position on the grid in the Pro field (the second wave that starts 30 seconds behind the celebrities) and worked his way past nine cars to finish first in the Pro division and fourth overall on the 1.97-mile Grand Prix Street Circuit. The race will air on ESPN2 on May 3 as a half-hour Speedworld special. OVER $35 000 RAISED The Premier Cycle World Joseph C. Parkhurst Education Fund Silent Auction event raised over $35,000 for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation Family Education Programs during the three-day silent auction at the 2003 Dealernews International Powersports Dealer Expo in Indianapolis, IN, on February 15-17.
