Jarvis (12). Raga was fourth, with one point more (13), while in fifth was Josep Manzano (14), who led his teammate Cabestany (15). In the second loop, Lampkin again failed in section two, and then he broke his handlebar in section three, curiously without crashing. He finished the section, but instead of cleaning it, he wound up with a heavy three. That made it easy for Fujinami, who scored another seven points, to take the win for the day. Lampkin was second with 9, while the third place was grasped by Raga, thanks to a loop at 10 marks, against the 16 of Jarvis. The best score of the loop was registered by Kuroyama, with four dabs in total. He jumped from the 12th place to the fifth! THE MOJO-CONNECTION S.T.T.A.R.S. SUPERMOTO IT ~ DAVTWD Organizers decided to change five sections to make the competition tougher on day two. Section two was again the "spade queen" for Lampkin, but not only for him. Five points were collected also by Cabestany, Raga and Jarvis, while Fujinami dabbed again, and Freixa and Kuroyama cleaned it. This time, section four was also more challenging because the entrance to the wall was narrowed, forcing the riders to face slippery rocks. It made it difficult for them to find a good place to start the section. Only Lampkin cleaned it. The leader alternatively changed for all the first loop. Kuroyama rode the same as he had the day before. He scored 13 marks, with Lampking carding 14 more, then Freixa with.15 and Fujinami with 17. On the second loop, Kuroyama threw away any chance of victory, fiving sections two and three: This made him nervous and forced him to fail the other three sections, concluding the loop with 28 points. LallJpkin finally understood how to clean section two and fived again only in section 10, another of those modified by organizers for this second day. His total of eight assured him the victory. Freixa was runnerup, picking up 12 marks for a total of 27, two points ahead of a Cabestany/Fujinami knot at 29. Raga finished in fifth with a good second loop (11) improving from seventh place at halfway mark. eN Irish 6P Bangor, Ireland Results: April 5-6, 2003 [Round 1 of 10J O/A: 1.
