Hofmaster held on to second after leading early on. "I was able to get a great start and got into the lead, but then I made a few mistakes, and Demuth and Antunez got closer to me to pass me," Hofmaster said. "Then I dropped back to third but got past Antunez for second. After that, I got a little tight and stayed there until the end." After pulling off the win in the 125cc main, Antunez took the last spot on the podium. "I got behind Hofmaster and Demuth with the start and was able to run with them, then I got by Hofmaster for second," Antunez said. "Then I had a bobble after the whoops that made me lose second place, and then I tightened up after that and was unable to get close to them - but there's always tomorrow." Laughridge was fourth once again, followed by Justin Brayton in fifth. SATURDAY Demuth dominated the 125cc main, breaking Antunez's single-season wins record. After chasing down his teammate Hofmaster for the lead, it looked like Demuth was unstoppable. "I got a good start behind Hofmaster, then I got into the lead right before the whoops." Demuth said. "Then I was able to take over the lead and finish with the win. I was stoked it was my 29th win of the season." Hofmaster held on for second after a hard battle with his teammate. "I was able to get a great start off the gate and was able to take the lead pretty quickly," Hofmaster said. "I started to pull away a little in the rhythm section, but Demuth was able to catch up to me on the straight. One time, he was able to hold on to it longer than me and swept on the outside into the whoops. I was in second and stayed there until the end." Antunez worked his way through the pack for third. "Shoot, it was a tough race out there," Antunez said. "I got out third behind Demuth and Hofmaster - they both were riding very well too. My RM 125 got me out there pretty good, and it was working great, but then I lAbove) Josh Hansen (93) passes Hagseth (6) for sixth in Saturday's 12Scc main. (Right) Hagseth (6) leads Laughridge (73) In Saturday's 250cc main. made a few mistakes that cost me some time. In the end, I was able to adjust and stay in third. I just couldn't catch them at all." Laughridge was fourth for the third time in as many tries, once again holding off Lawrence. A great battle closed out the weekend. Demuth and Antunez came through the pack to chase Hofmaster for the lead as they were working their way through the lappers. At the right turn before the finish line, all three riders came into it at the same time. As Hofmaster went high, Antunez went low, and Demuth went even lower. After that it was a drag race with Demuth on the 450F against the two-stroke riders. In the end, the four-stroke came out on top, giving Demuth his 30th win of the year. "I got an okay start - midpack, I think," Demuth said. "I was able to work my way through the pack and got behind Hofmaster and Antunez - 1 was in third. The turn before the finish line, all three of us came into it at the same time. 1 was lucky. I had the inside as we dragged down the staight for the lead. I got lucky and took my third win of the weekend, which gave me the big three-zero for overall wins this year." After an amazing race and charge, Antunez took the runner-up spot. "Tommy checked out pretty quick," Antunez said. "I was taking the inside in the whoops, and nothing was happening, so I decided to go to the outside. I started to catch him after a few hard laps, but in the meantime, Demuth started to catch me. Then both Demuth and I started to charge on Hofmaster for the lead. Then we all came into some lappers, and I saw a chance to pass Hofmaster. So, I decided to take it before the finish line. It was a scary pass as we both went into the turn. One was a win, but four wins would have been better." Hofmaster held on for third. "I got out to a good start and got into the lead pretty fast and started to pull away," Hofmaster said. "I had a good line in the whoops, but one lap it bucked me so I decided to switch it and try another line. By then, Antunez and Demuth started to catch me. After that, I think the outside line in the whoops was faster, because I think I lost some of my lead in the whoops after I changed lines. Then a lapper got into my way. That gave Antunez and Demuth a chance at getting by me for the lead and second place, making me settle for third."
