scrambled to third after a race-long battle with John Lewis and Gene Yopp. Hartzel sat on the pole for the Open Pro main, but he could not outgun Nick Daniels into turn one. Daniels led for two laps until Faulkner and Coy Matthews got into each other, with Matthews going down hard. Daniels came around the downed rider and chopped the throttle while Hartzel powered by, bringing Aaron Ladd with him. Hartzel held off Ladd and took home the money. Daniels recovered for third, over James Faulkner. Daniels proved to be the master of the Mad Dogs, as he topped both the TT and shorttrack events. Jordan Jenkle topped the Stock Mad Dog TI after chasing down Daniels to run a close second in the short~track contest. Jeremy Anderson led briefly but dropped back to third on a 1972 CB 100. Ethan Gillim walked away with the 50cc-c1ass TTs in both the Shaft and Chain classes. Nick McFadden and Jake Lewis topped the short-track events. Patrick Pyle used holeshots and perfect lines to snare the 200cc Amateur-class wins. Hayden Gillim came through the pack to finish second in the short track, with Frankie Lee Gillim a close second in the IT. Frankie Lee would win both 200cc Pro-Am events by a safe margin. Jonathan Heiden was a safe second in the short track, with Hayden taking advantage of a last-lap bobble by Justin Turner to round out the podium. The 85cc class was all Hayden's, as he absconded with the holeshot in both the short track and TT and won by large distances. Frankie Lee worked his way past Turner in both to run second, with Turner third in each. Heiden held off Tyler Whitecotten at the line in the short track for fourth, while Whitecotten used a last-lap pass on Jake Lewis for fourth in the TT. Whitecotten got the start he has looked for throughout the series and walked away unchallenged in the 65cc TT. Ethan ran second until the halfway flags before being moved back a spot by Frankie Lee. In the 12-rider 65cc short-track contest, Ethan led into turn one while the pack jammed in behind. He led for a lap before Frankie Lee and Hayden were able to get past to run one and two. Whitecotten slipped by toward the end to run third. Ethan held on for fourth, over Mike Heiden. John Faulkner led the open Pro-Ams down the back straight, but Ladd used a perfect outside pass in turn four to win. Coy and Joe Matthews were next in the order. John Lewis topped both the heat and main on his way to the Lightweight Vintage win. Levi Courtney did likewise in the 250cc Amateur class, while Billy Gruwell topped the Open Amateurs, and Dennis Porter won the Over 50 division. John Amold Arena: Rod Hartzel dominated round four of the Kentucky State Indoor Dirt Track Series in Sturgis, winning three classes. 85: 1. HlIyden Gillim (Suz): 2. Frllnkie Lee Gillim (Hon); 3.
