on. In only his third supercross, Metcalfe's solid ride moves him 1nto eighth in the points. Boost Mobile/Troy Racing/Yamaha's Sellards had a week that he would rather forget. Sellards crashed hard early in the week while practicing in Florida and came into the event banged up. He won heat one by some five seconds and grabbed a great start in the final, taking over the lead in tum two. He led for some time before Jesseman started to close, and when a lapper hindered Sellards on lap nine, JesselT''lr saw his opportunity through the tunnel. While running second several laps later, Sellards crashed awkwardly going into a corner and got pummeled by his bike. It took some time to get going, and he remounted seventh, staying there until the finish. It was a disappointment to the rider who won one week earlier and started the main in the points lead. "His ribs and shoulder were hurting him, and he just lost some strength and went down out there," said a team member after the race. "He's lucky to even have been here. He was bummed but was okay." eN AMA Supercuts Superbike Challenge Presented by Honda of Milpitas May 2-4 What could be betler than a day in the wine country?
