IIRoncada has gone out of his way... to brighten a young manls day.11 Letters to the editor should be sent to Voices. Cycle News. ~~. Mesa. I'm confused: I thought the saying was "lead by example." You need to hire a writer for Todd Harris. "A PhD in Dirtology"? "He must know Fred Astaire 'cause he's dancing out there"? Geez, Todd, are they holding a gun to your head? I heard a six-year-old comment on how lame those jokes were. Once again, action on the track, but we get to see a fan looking through binoculars. Mr. Director, hold your head high on a job well done. In the 250cc main from Minneapolis, you skipped more laps than you showed, but fortunately we got to see five minutes of the KTM Junior Challenge. Wait a minute - didn't we see that last week? And the week before? No matter, touchy-feely vignettes are far more important than trivial things like the main. Chad Reed's seat flew off. I saw it, my kids saw it; what were David Bailey and Harris watching, girls in the stands? There was absolutely no mention of it. I'm starting to understand. The average IQ of the audience must be under 100, so that's what the coverage is designed to appeal to morons. It's embarrassing when NASCAR gets much better coverage than supercross. I mean, have you seen the hats and T-shirts they wear? The dumbing down of America continues. Thank you, ESPN, for your concerted efforts for the ca use. Thus, I don't watch it, and your advertisers don't get their ads viewed. Getting a clue yet, bean counters? To the director: What could possibly make you think that when there is some very exciting racing action on the track, and we're just about to see a great pass, you cut to a fat guy in including his last ride at Sugartree, and he never failed to impress. NASCAR, and you came back from commercial 20 laps later in the race with everybody in different positions, you'd be stoned to death by cans of Bud. But you have no problem doing that to us. In Wanting To Save 250s It was heard with great sadness and disgust that AMA Pro Racing is dropping the 250cc Grand Prix road racing class follOWing this season. For me personally, the sight, sound and smell of the two-stroke GP racer can passes; they don't even get mentioned! This is coverage for idiots, but fortunately we aren't idiots! Get a freakin' clue! Have you done your homework? That rider is Stephane Roncada. My never be equaled. The two letters TZ speak volumes about what a real race bike is all about. Every person I have spoken to who follows road racing is sickened by AMA Pro Racing's shortsighted handling of this class. We need to let them know that this is not acceptable. There is a petition that can be signed online at www.tz250racing.com that will hopefully wake up AMA Pro Racing. Robert Leuer Fremont CA Do you know your demographics? Motorcycles cost money. Motorcyclists have money, and they spend it. Wow, what a revelation, huh? Your coverage of hunting is better than Roncada - Good Guy supercross, and these are guys who call dogs, shoot guns and drink beer. Quite the athletes. I am writing this letter to you to say something positive about a professional rider who went above and beyond to help a fine young man. ed. Although it's nice to have an day, so since I went to the San Diego so they could put all that filler crap in there. I'm not knocking David Bailey. I saw him ride a couple of times, how Roncada has gone out of his way, while suffering through an injury himself, to brighten a young man's day.
