FIM MOTOGP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
ROUND 5 / AUGUST 21-23, 2020
RED BULL RING / SPIELBERG, AUSTRIA
P78
(Right) After some harsh
words between Miguel
Oliveira and Pol Espargaro
(right), it was all smiles
on the podium in KTM's
most successful MotoGP
race win to date, after
Espargao took pole
position and raced to
third, while Oliveira won.
Jack Miller (obscured)
continues to rack up the
points and is now third in
the championship after two
straight podiums.
(Below) In Moto2, Jorge Martin (88) rode almost the perfect race in Austria. The Spaniard controlled the pace until Marco
Bezzecchi (72) closed to within striking distance on the final lap. Martin crossed the line first but the zero-tolerance rule
for exceeding track limits on the last lap meant he had to drop a position at the flag, handing the win to Bezzecchi. Remy
Gardner (87) came home third for a second career podium. In the series points, Luca Marini holds sway over Enea Bastianini
and Martin, 87 to 79 each for Martin and Bastianini. Fourth sits Tetsuta Nagashima with 68 from Bezzecchi at 65.
