VOLUME 57 ISSUE 34 AUGUST 25, 2020 P61 WHERE'S WEBB? A few days before Loretta Lynn's 2, Red Bull KTM's Cooper Webb announced he's going to sit out the rest of the outdoor championship. At Loretta Lynn's 1, Webb reaggravated his back that he injured at the Dallas Supercross earlier in the year and decided it was best to give it a rest. ALMOST DIDN'T MAKE IT The wet weather forced officials to reduce practice/qualifying to one session, which caused a scare for Zach Osborne when his bike refused to start moments before the 450MX A-group was supposed to go out on the course. He ended up missing the session, but since the schedule was modified, officials allowed him to compete in the B-group, which is designated for riders who have not yet scored a point in the series. This was a good thing for Osborne, because rules state that a rider must complete at least one lap of practice in order to move on. "[It] took them a while to fix it," Osborne said. "It was just an electrical issue and it takes a long time to troubleshoot." LORETTA LYNN'S 2 NOTES Alex Martin's second-moto win in 250MX was his first since joining the JGR/Yoshimura Suzuki Fac- tory Racing team last year... Jason Anderson suffered a DNF in the first 450MX moto after crashing in the first turn and having his bike quit later in the race. He took fourth in the second moto... Privateer Justin Rodbell, of Prince Frederick, Mary- land, cracked the 450MX top 10 with 12-12 motos... Joey Savatgy DNF'd the first 450MX moto but came back to finish seventh... Chase Sexton (6-13) fell multiple times in the first 450MX moto and suffered a me- chanical on the last lap of the second moto... There were 10 DNFs in the first 250MX moto and 13 in the sec- ond moto. In the 450MX class, there were 16 DNFs in the first moto and 10 of the 37 starters in the second.
