WHERE'S WEBB?
A few days before Loretta Lynn's
2, Red Bull KTM's Cooper Webb
announced he's going to sit out the
rest of the outdoor championship. At
Loretta Lynn's 1, Webb reaggravated
his back that he injured at the Dallas
Supercross earlier in the year and
decided it was best to give it a rest.
ALMOST DIDN'T
MAKE IT
The wet weather forced officials to
reduce practice/qualifying to one
session, which caused a scare for
Zach Osborne when his bike refused
to start moments before the 450MX
A-group was supposed to go out on
the course. He ended up missing
the session, but since the schedule
was modified, officials allowed him
to compete in the B-group, which
is designated for riders who have
not yet scored a point in the series.
This was a good thing for Osborne,
because rules state that a rider must
complete at least one lap of practice
in order to move on. "[It] took them a
while to fix it," Osborne said. "It was
just an electrical issue and it takes a
long time to troubleshoot."
