Chisholm Trail Coliseum: Rick Harris had a bit of trouble in 250cc Beginner action at the Checkered Flag Promotions arenacross event in Enid, Oklahoma. the winner's circle, over Tyler Burns and Ty Gorham. Gorham finished second in the 65cc go, behind fellow Kawasaki rider Casteil Clark. Crowd favorite Brittany Mazzoleni finished third. Shelby Mazzoleni took home the first-place 50cc trophy, and Colin Crabbs was second. T rey Terbush won the 125cc Intermediate class, while Brad Rogers took home the 250cc Intermediate gold. Enid, Oklahoma, on Saturday night. Hedden got holeshots in both the 250cc Pro and 125cc Pro finals and romped to wins in both classes, taking home the majority of promoter Ed Beckley's money. Fellow Kansan Jon·Paul Powell finished second in both events, and Lawton, Oklahoma's Shawn Stillwell took home the third·place money. Justin Berry powered to the front of the 125cc Beginner class, but the Yamaha rider soon had to deal with Eli Good. The two battled furiously; Good took the top spot for a lap, but Berry prevailed at the checkers. Matt Copeland finished third, with Nick Snyder fourth. Running combined with the 125cc Beginner class was the 250cc Beginner contingent. YZ-mounted Terry Long took top honors, over Suzuki jockey Tyler Thomas and Yamaha rider Chad Weldon. Brett Cue spent a good five minutes doing jumping jacks and other calisthenics to psych himself up for the start of the 250cc Novice arenacross event. At the flash of the green, he was off like a rocket - too much so, as he unsuccessfully tried to do all of the backstraight whoops in one jump and shot skyward in a spectacular trajectory. His ensuing crash got as big a "whoa" from the crowd (which was more than 5000 strong) as the monster truck "Bigfoot" did later in the evening. With No Fear aptly listed as a sponsor, Cue bravely remounted, got the holeshot and won the race. Snyder chased the high-flying Yamaha rider but had to settle for second at the checkers. Chuck Dykstra came home third, ahead of Kawasaki jockey Matt Copeland and Chris Roberts. Baker Boys-sponsored Berry led all laps of the 85cc main event to take his Yamaha to Results 50: I.
