return to racing after seriously injuring his arm in the early stages of the series. Huege, a 16-year-old from Yamhill. Oregon. finished Friday's festivities with a pair of wins in the Before The Hill and 250cc Intermediate classes and finished second to Yamaha rider Kyle Falls in the 125cc Intermediate class, getting some needed practice for the upcoming Golden State National round here the following week. Randklev, who made the jump from the 80cc ranks to the 125s at age 12, is now a seasoned 125cc rider, having two years under his belt. This weekend, he proved he's ready to make his mark in the 125cc ranks, although he did have some tough competition from several riders, including KTM rider Brock Chappelle, class front· runner Travis McMackin, and this year's dominant 125cc Beginner rider, Robby McCabe, who made his transition from Beginner to Junior a smooth one by finishing in the top three. On Friday, McCabe trailed Randklev and Chappelle overall. The scenario was much the same in the 125cc Junior ranks on Saturday, as Randklev was again victorious, while southern Oregon speedster Kyle Pachmayr and McCabe filled out the top three. Randklev, who finished second overall to McMackin in the Before The Hill class. complemented his 125cc win by also topping Saturday's Before The Hill Junior class. where he beat the Suzuki·mounted Pachmayr and Honda jockey Vance Kotal for his second overall win of the evening and his third on the weekend. Yamaha-mounted Doug Crockett and Kawasaki ace Charlie McCarthy have gone head to head in the 80cc Beginner class all season long. On these two consecutive nights of racing. it was much the same. The diminutive duo traded leads throughout the weekend, but Crockett captured overall wins on both nights. McCarthy wrangled a pair of secondplace finishes, while Suzuki rider Philip Springer filled out the number-three spot both nights.
