through the race, the top three started to pull
away, but the rest never stopped trying. The
little guys still put out l00-percent effort but
never seemed to be able to pull off a pass of
any sort. On the last lap, Webb started to
pressure Laible, but he just couldn't put anything together In time for the checkers. Behind

on top for a while is the lightning-fast Joel
Ard, but everyone got to see him get back into
the thick of things at the seventh race of the
Clark County Arenacross Series.
James Hamilton snared the holeshot in the
125cc Intermediate main event, followed by
Ard and Jason Laudemnilk. Only two comers
into the race, Hamilton went down, letting the
entire pack by; with apparent bike problems,
he pulled off the track. With Hamilton gone,
Ard found himself in the lead, and he held on
to that lead with a grip of iron. Behind Ard was
Laudermilk, followed by Dustin Lafave and
James Barret; all of them were trying to nab
that coveted second-place spot. Despite their
best efforts, no one moved either forward or
backward, and eventually everyone was
spaced out by at least several seconds. Ard
was totally in control; Laudermilk followed a
way behind, but he was still more than a half a
