Quagliaroli made a strong pass attempt on Cochran in a hard-packed sweep· er, only to have the Honda rider shut the door hard on his YZ250. Jeff took the point and began to pull away. After moving to second, Quagliaroli reeled in Jeff and slammed into the Suzuki rider's rear end in the tum before the whoops. Miraculously, both riders stayed upright. Jeff survived a wild ride through the whoops after the impact knocked him off his intended line. He maintained his lead as the duo flew side by side over the Canyon Jump and squeezed out a close win over Quagliaroli. Richard improved to third this time out, but he couldn't keep Cochran from claiming third overall.
