Manager: Kyle Lewis Headquarters: Corona. CA Riders: Larry Ward 10 Kyle Lewis 23 47 Clark Stiles 16 Florence, SC Henderson, NV Athens, AL CRF450R CRF450R CRF450R 37 40 44 57 Lowdown: Larry Ward is making the move back up to the 250cc class and continuing his gradual re-introduction to supercross aher his 125cc Eastern Regional involvement last year. Ward is a hard rider to count out, as just when you think his career is over, he comes storming back again and again. Lewis is fresh off of a strong showing in last year's 250cc Nationals aboard his CRF, and Clark Stiles is new to the team - it should be interesting to see how he does in a full season of 250cc supercross. These riders should provide some sparks in this year's series. 76 99 131 179 482 KYLE LEWIS If@&J[JiJiJ {1&J[JiJiJ@[JJ{J fX]&J@D[JD~1! utJo{1G!J@@mJgjiiJ gj[JJ@@[J@00 Manager: Jamey Grosser Headquarters: Minneapolis, MN Riders: 90 Marco Dube Jerem ias Israel 91 118 Jamey Grosser 17 20 Canada Chile Minneapolis, MN John Dowd Robbie Reynard Damon Huffman Ryan Clark James Povolny Jr. Keith S. Johnson will be taking the supercross series off and returning for the Nationals on the Cemics.com KTMs. Robbie Reynard will be skipping the supercross series as well, choosing to focus on the Nationals aboard Kawasakis. James Povolny Jr. and Ted Campbell will reportedly be competing in some capacity in the 250cc Supercross Series aboard Subway-sponsored Hondas. Greg Schnell will be a true privateer this year, as will Turbo Reif. Bryan McGavran will be riding the 125cc Western Region aboard a Temecula Motorsports-backed RM125. And it looks like Ryan Clark, Erick Vallejo and Michael Blose will be supported by Clark's Team Solitaire, with Clark competing in the 250cc class and the other two on 125s, As we mentioned elsewhere here, the Blackfoot Honda team will not campaign the 2003 supercross series, nor will a couple of other major teams from last year, such as Plano Honda and Husqvarna. Aher a disastrous '02 season, the Plano Honda team called it quits, while Husqvarna appears to have abandoned its entire full race effort in the U,S.A. for '03. A smaller private team, MotoXtremes Husqvama, however, will support two riders, Randy Valade and David Oettel, in the 125cc East Coast rounds. Husqvarna - owned by Cagiva in Italy - will continue racing at full speed closer to home in Europe. Former Yamaha of Troy rider Rodrig Thain, who has returned to his home in France, will ride a Husqvarna on the GP circuit for '03. Honda CR250R Honda CR450R Honda CRF450R Lowdown: This two-man team features Canadian rider Marco Dube who will focus on supercross for 2003. The fast Canadian will ride a Honda CR250R, Jeremias Israel will ride a CRF450R, and Jamey Grosser, who will wear two hats - managing the team as well as racing - will also campaign a CRF450R thumper. The team is backed by three main sponsors: Lamont Racing (new to the team), WSA Snocross (a snowmobile racing series) and Ti-Lube (an oil company founded by Atomic 22). The team has also worked out a deal with Bacardl and U.S. Smokeless Tobacco to host after-race supercross parties at nearby pubs and bars following each round. This team obviously knows how to have fun. .JAMIE GROSSER 250cc I 2 3 4 5 6 7. . . . . . . . . . . .. 8 9 10 Ricky Carmichael David Vuillemin Jeremy McGrath Ezra Lusk . . . . . . ..
