Gannon Ranches: Tom Benolkln swept all three motos of the Pre-1972 Pro class at the U.S. Classics Scrambles event in Centre, Alabama. the Pre· 1986 125-500cc A class. He had to go up against Higgins and Benny Durrough, who stayed close to Higgins in the beginning of both motos. After a couple of laps, Higgins would start to get away. while Durrough had built a comfortable lead on Garry Griffith, Garmon Ranches Centre. Alabama Results: Novembar 17. 2002 PRE·1972 125 8: 1. Higgins proved he's an ironman by racing back-te-back motes with the A class and went right back to the starting line to face off against "Radio" Randy Tomlinson in the Over 50 Modern Support class. Tomlinson gave Higgins an honest run in the beginning, and many thought he might tire Higgins out. but Higgins never slowed his pace. B&B Cycles rider Danny Burkhalter followed Higgins in the finishing order, as Higgins picked up his third overall win, this time in the 40-49 class. The ambulance crew was caught sleeping all day. and not a single rider got hurt. despite some good crashes. Pro Une Motorsports' Ken Cox and H&H KTM's Theron Warren both got a good taste of the dirt and almost woke up the ambulance crew. There was plenty of free stuff for all the rid· 50m Chapp
