Byrd playing chase. Byrd pushed hard in the LOCAL TALENT beginning laps and stayed close enough to make a move for first, but he could never quite make the pass. Byrd tried with everything he had, but the day belonged to Dove, who was first overall on the day, Byrd was second, and Smith took the finai podium spot. The 80cc class was absolutely on fire at this event. The 85cc (7 -11) class was huge, to say the least. Some 26 riders showed up at the gate. It seemed the parents were more in competition than the kids, as the parents ran from tum to tum to cheer on their youngsters. In moto one, Chase Lee worked his RM up from a third- or fourth-place start. Edward Chaney, Drew Estes and Alex Covington were aU up front and charging for that moto victory. The win went to Lee, followed by Chaney and then Estes. Moto two was more of the same, with Lee taking the win, Covington taking second and Chaney taking third. Overall, Lee was the winner, Chaney was second and Covington was third.
