Hovv to catch all the action from the European rounds of THO World Supercross GP: "I'm pissed, of course, but that's racing," Van Den Bosch said. "I lost the carburetor." And for the first time this season, Van Den Bosch had to retire. That left the door completely open to Kunzel, who easily managed to protect his position and won. The German became the only other rider besides Van Den Bosch to win a GP this year, and he will probably be one of the riders to follow closely during next season, as Van Den Bosch will be involved in World Supersport road racing, and thus the SuperMoto will be looking for a new champion. The same could be said about Belgian specialist Eddie Seel, who was once again impressive in Australia. He rode quickly and aggressively and finished second in the main event. Ironically. Seel was not supposed to be in Broadfoard because Husqvarna didn't want to send him there, but he convinced them to foot the bill, and he paid them back with a convincing performance. Third went to the consistent Italian, Max Manzo, who had tire problems in the main event but defended his position against attacks from Vertemati's Gerald Delepine. The Belgian Delepine, who was second in the provisional standings since the second round, achieved his goal to finish the championship right behind Van Den Bosch, and his win in the second semifinal also proved that he deserved it. Fifth was Frenchman Stephane Blot, who got a very good start, running third before losing two spots. There was also a very exciting battle behind him for the sixth place, between Italian Ivan Lazzarini, who came up from 13th on lap one and was pushed hard by Frenchman William Rubio on the last lap.
