GFI Racing Fall Series South Round 4: Perris Raceway Cale Wallace 1557) leads Jeff Elde 1961), Josh Cox 122). Brandon Morgan 1183) and the rest of the pack in the first combined 125cc Intermediatel Pro moto at Perris Raceway. Wallace outran everyone for the win. and 250cc Intermediate classes during round four of the GFI Racing/Goat Eyewear/Pro Circuit/PJ 1/ Shoei/ Motul/FMF -sponsored Fall Series South. Wallace gave an early indication of his speed when he got the holeshot in the combined 125cc Intermediate/Pro race and led every inch of the 20minute race. Josh Cox and Justin Eide fought over second place in the Intermediate class until Eide went down near the midway point. Cox ended up finishing second, ahead of a motolong battle over third place between Anthony Bruscella and Nicholas Burson, from which Bruscella would come out on top. Cox got the moto-two holeshot, only to go down on the opening lap. Mark Valcore inherited the top spot and stayed there for a lap before being outjumped by Wallace, who then pulled away on his YZ125 for a sweep of the field. For Yamahamounted Cale Wallace, it didn't ml!ch matter on this day, as the results were the same - he got to the checkers first. Wallace appeared to have the Perris Raceway track wired as he went four for four to top both the 125cc the way back up into another secondplace finish. Bruscella was again third, followed Burson and Valcore. It was two-stroke vs. four-stroke in the opening 250cc Intermediate moto, as YZ250-mounted Wallace and CRF450R pilot Josh Stice were all over each other for almost the entire 20-minute race. Wallace eventually pulled clear of Stice by a few seconds with time running out for the win. Zac Wray closed to within striking distance of Stice. for a close third, followed by Chris Panek, Eide and Burson. Anthony Hadsall led lap one of moto two before Panek took his shot at leading for a while. Wallace was buried in the pack off the start but relieved Panek of the point position with just a couple of laps remaining. Wallace crossed the line for his fourth moto win, with Panek going 4-2 to top Wray's 3-3 finishes for second overall. Burson (6-4) and Hadsall (7-5) rounded out the top five. Kevin Frisbie, who's been a consistent front-runner throughout this series, claimed second, in front of a great battle for third between Matt Ortega, Ryan Magdenovski, Andy D'Arrigo and Lester Varnum, in which Magdenovski proved to be the fastest. Ray Olivo and Frisbie each took a turn leading moto two before Ewing was able to climb from just inside the top 10 off the start to overtake Frisbie for the lead on the white-flag lap. Ortega suffered a midpack start, resulting in a sixth-place finish for third overall, topping Mike Lopez (8-4) and D'Arrigo (5-9). Ortega returned to make his way to the front of the pack for the Schoolboy first-moto win. Adam Lane led a good part of the race but couJdn't hold off Ortega and had to be content with a second-place finish, over Varnum, O'Neill and Aaron Maxwell.
