Johnson. Sixth through 10th were Dustin Pulley, Nutt, Pamart, Pierce Chamberlain and Jeremy Tiffany. It was another tie for the holeshot in the final Premier Four-Stroke moto between Johnson and Paul Carpenter, with Johnson edging him out for the lead by the second tum, but it wasn't long before Carpenter got around Johnson to take the point position once again. Johnson dropped to second. The top five were already spreading out by the start of lap two, with Paul Carpenter pulling away from the rest of the pack. By the halfway point, Carpenter had another plus 20second lead, and he increased that lead to a whopping 29 seconds by the final lap. This time around, Carpenter lapped the field to ninth place. Rounding out the top 10 were Johnson, McCormick, Stratton, Veracka, Nutt, Jack Carpenter, Pamart, Hileman and Tiffany. McCormick led the start of the first 250cc Pro-Am moto with Johnson, Carpenter, Stratton and Mark Wundrack in tow. When the leaders emerged at the top of the National hill, McCormick was still out front, but Carpenter was up to second and closing in. Johnson dropped a spot to third, and Stratton and Wundrack were still fourth and fifth. The running order for sixth through 10th was Jimmy Wilson, Pamart, Ginolfi, Carsten and Nutt. McCormick had about a three-second lead on Carpenter at the start of lap three, but Carpenter came off the hill after three and a half laps with the lead, dropping McCormick to second. Third through fifth were unchanged. Carpenter had a five-second advantage by the following lap, and the top five were already spreading out once again. The rest of the moto was a battle for sixth through 10th. Carpenter just kept pulling away again. He had a 16-second lead by lap six, and the top five were still unchanged. Carsten was on the move and was up to sixth, dropping Pamart to seventh. Wilson, Ginolfi and Nutt rounded out the top 10. Carpenter took the checkered flag with another 20-second lead. Carsten caught Wundrack by the last lap and finally made the pass for fifth with a half a lap to go. McCormick finished second, Johnson third, Stratton fourth and Carsten fifth. Rounding out the top 10 were Wundrack, Pamart, Ginolfi, Mike Dougherty Jr., and Chamberlain. Carpenter blasted off the concrete start pad and rounded the switchback first turn with the lead in the final 250cc Pro-Am moto. In tow were McCormick, Johnson, Stratton, Pamart, Carsten, Wundrack, Ginolfi, Dougherty and Nutt. Carpenter once again quickly pulled away and had a 17 -second lead by the halfway point. The top four were unchanged, with Wundrack passing Pamart to take fifth. Pamart was relegated to sixth. Carpenter got yet another win and made it look quite easy in the process, lapping up to seventh place this time and finishing yet again with a 20-second advantage. Rounding out the top five were McCormick, Johnson, Stratton and Carsten. Wundrack took sixth, Pamart seventh, Nutt eighth, Dougherty ninth and Chamberlain 10th. Bromley Suzuki's Barry Carsten topped the 125cc Pro-Am class podium with a perfect 1-1 score leaving little doubt that he is one of the East Coast's fastest 125 pilots. Carsten must be given even more credit because he is a vet-class rider racing some much younger "kids" in the 125cc Pro-Am class. Michael Veracka's 3-2 rides were good enough for runner-up honors while Dave Ginolfi's 4-3 score earned him the last spot on the 125 Pro-Am podium. 'Ginolfi is currently sixth in the 125cc Pro-Am class series points, while Carsten is 13th and Veracka 15th after six of eight rounds. Stratton, a dedicated thumper pilot, traded his red thumper for a blue one for the first 125cc Pro-Am moto and led the pack out of the first tum. Trailing him were Veracka, Carsten, Chamberlain and Dougherty. By the start of lap two, Stratton was still out front while Carsten made his way around Veracka to take second. Chamberlain and Dougherty held fourth and fifth, respectively. Sixth through 10th were Ginolfi, Hileman, Mike Ayen, Jim Joy and Jack Carpenter. Stratton had a six-second lead by lap three, but Carsten was charging and was slowly closing the gap on the leader. Unfortunately, Stratton went down on lap seven, relinquishing the lead to Carsten. Stratton quickly remounted second but didn't have enough left to get Carsten back. Carsten pulled away and finished the moto with a four-second advantage. Rounding out the top 10 were Stratton, Veracka, Ginolfi, Dougherty, Dustin Pulley, Ayen, Joe Robertson and Joy. John Borek (KTM); 3. Colton Herrisen (Kaw); 4, Matt Bobbitt (Su,); 5. Carsten nailed the holeshot in the final 125cc Pro-Am moto, but he was quickly challenged for the lead. Ginolfi managed to displace the veteran Suzuki pilot by the third turn. Rounding out the top five off the start were Pulley, Veracka and Dougherty. Due to the fact that daylight was quickly running out, race promoter Tom Hurd decided to cut the final 125cc Pro-Am moto from nine to six laps. Carsten quickly pulled away after the start and had a six-second lead by the end of lap two. Carsten just kept his head down and continued to pull away, finishing the moto with a 20-second lead. Rounding out the top five were Veracka, Ginolfi, Jack Carpenter and Chamberlain. Stratton finished sixth, Dougherty seventh, Buddy Brooks eighth, Hileman ninth and Robertson 10th.
