up with him after the event to get his thoughts on the weekend. You got off to a great start in that moto, how important was it to you to lead that moto early? Well, being that I can only last about three or four laps, it was very important for me to get up in the front early. I saw a little place where I could charge in there a little harder, and I took it. It is nice to get up there and battle with Demuth. And after I got tired and started cruising around, the crowd really got into it. I was doing some whips and wheelieing through the whoops. It was awesome. It was a good weekend for me to come back. Everyone thinks I should come here and just win, but after being off for seven months and coming back to the Arenacross Champion, you know that is not an easy series. He [Demuth] is by no means off his game. It was great to watch him ride, especially in the 125cc class, when I was not racing. I think I'm going to stay back and we are going to ride together this week and then maybe go out to the Pro Challenge next weekend. About the second-place finish, did that feel good after taking fourth in the first moto? In the first moto, I probably could have kept more guys behind me, but I got out there and got cruising and my mind got off of racing. I was just out having fun. This shocks a lot of people, but I think the reason I was here probably was a little different than the reason everyone else thought I was here. I just wanted to come out and hang out, ride, have fun and try to do the best I could. In the second moto, I stayed with it a little harder but had time to do some whips and just have fun. So you are going to take full advantage of your time off before the Nationals to prepare yourself and come out swinging? I have the alarm clock on the way. The baby is on the way, so I am sure I will be getting up early, and I plan to really work hard. It's hard to really know what I am doing right now because I don't want to ride supercross next year. It is hard to find a ride and negotiate a contract with only half a season. Who knows what the future holds? I am not on bad terms with any manufacturer, so it is nice just to be back and ride. Me and Roger [DeCoster] had a blast hanging out here and not even talking about next year or anything - just as friends. When I got hurt, I got away, and now I am coming back and I want to come back slow. When I make my return, I want to be ready.
