o Muddy Creek Raceway: Kevin Walker (859) cruised to wins In the 125cc A, 250cc A, and Over 30 A classes at Muddy Creek's Parts UnlimltedfThor Weekend, a.k.a. round 12 of the AMA USA MegaSerles. Ryan Sipes (64) of Kentucky chased hard alter' Walker and wound up second in both of the Pro-Am classes in his first A-class race following Loretta Lynn's. Denton, Tyler Newton and Dakota Matthews. In the 7·11 portion, Denton's consistent 3-3 rides made him runner-up. Although both Bright and Taylor Johnson earned second in each moto, crashes took them out of contention for a good finish. Sipes. packing two top-five Loretta Lynn's finishes in the 85cc (12-13) Stock and 85cc (9-13) Modified classes, topped the 85cc (12-13) and Supermini classes at Muddy Creek. The Supermini event provided possibly the best racing all day, as Sipes battled with Ohio's Michael Willard, the winner of the 85cc (14-15) class; Jared Tuten of Asheville, North Carolina; Patrick Massie; and Wes Gauldin. Despite running only five of the ] 2 races in the MegaSeries, Sipes is still in the top five for points. Willard and North Carolina's Travis Flowers traded wins in the Schoolboy class; Flowers came out ahead with 2-1 placings to Willard's 1-2 tally. Flowers also won a 125cc B mote. Bradley McCurry actually made it to the first tum at the head of the 125cc B pack but got tangled with Trey Meek and Wisenbarger. Flowers also was held up by the crash and restarted at the back of the pack, clawing his way back up to 13th for sixth overall. Marcus Thompson aced the 125cc C class and traded wins in Unlimited C/D competition with Brandon Smith; they sit first and second in the Unlimited C/D MegaSeries points. Because Thompson was sidelined with injuries for two races, however, Edgar Robinson of Jenkins. Kentucky, has the edge on him by a single 1250c C point. Robinson finished second in his first 1250c C mota on Sunday but crashed in the second and ended up 20th, for 12th place. Tyler McSwain, repeating 51cc Shaft National Champion, easily handled the 51cc (4-6) crowd. leaving Mason Gragg. Taylor Perry, Nick Gaines and Paden King to fill out the top five. There was plenty of action. and neither moto's finishings could be predkted because of bobbles, crashes and mechanical failures. Except for McSwain's consistent 1-1 placings. no other rider in the class of 18 finished in the same position.
