charged back to eighth at the finish. Walters decided to call it a day. Fifth overall went to Hondamounted Canadian Chuck Mesley (9-3), followed by BSY/Pro Circuit/ Yamaha's Tyson Hadsell, who went 5- 7 for sixth overall. Schueler (B-5) was seventh overall, followed by his older brother Joseph (11-6), who finished eighth overall aboard his similarly sponsored Yamaha. Brian Mason (7 -14) was ninth overall, followed by Rodney Horrocks (15-13) in 10th. The big story of the 250cc Fall Classic was the emergence of a new contender. BSY /Pro Circuit/ Yamaha/Scott-backed Jacob Saylor shocked the series regulars with an impressive 3-1 overall victory in just his third-ever professional appearance. Saylor started the first moto just behind early leader Plotts. A quick pass by Carpenter dropped Saylor to third, where he would finish out the moto. In the second outing. Saylor rocketed to the holeshot and never looked back, racing to the moto win over defending Fall Classic 250cc Champion Smith. ""m speechless," said Saylor. "This is my third-ever Pro race. To win against those guys - Kelly Smith and all of those factory guys - was just unbelievable. I can't believe I won." Second overall went to Plotts. Plotts won the first moto convincingly but could manage no better than fourth in the second moto. Crine was third overall, with 4-2 moto finishes, followed by Smith, who went 7-3 for fourth overall. Carpenter, who went down at the start of moto two and finished out the day with 2-9 moto scores, finished fifth overall, followed by his teammate Walters, who went 6-6 for sixth overall. Ballzee's Chad Lough (9-B) was seventh, Orient Express/Sponsorhouse.com-backed David Ginolfi (12-7) was eighth, and Hadsell (16-5) was ninth. Honda-mounted Dustin Kendall (10-13) rounded out the top 10. Freedom Motorsports/Thor/Scottbacked Joshua Summey topped the 125cc Fall Classic with a consistent 2-2 ride. Summey started the first moto in fourth, just behind the speeding freight train of Shenandoah Honda/ MSR/Smith's Tom Welch, Saylor and Hadsell. Summey moved quickly past Saylor and, just before the halfway point. Welch to take over the runner-up position behind the new leader, Hadsell. Summey began to close on Hadsell but ran out of time and was forced to settle for second. "Tyson sneaked by me there at the start of the race," Summey said. "I kind of sprinted up to Saylor and Welch and passed them pretty quick. We stayed pretty close there at the end. I think he IHadsell] was probably tiring a little bit. I felt that, if I would've had a couple more laps, I might have been able to get him." In the second moto, Summey started on the rear fender of Smith, quickly taking over the lead at the bottom of the first downhill. Summey held off the number-34 Yamaha until just after the halfway point, when Smith dived inside of his fellow Yamaha rider to take the lead - and eventually the moto win. "I was just trying to ride my own race out there - you know, focusing on the track and stuff," Summey said. "My dad had let me know on the pitboard that Kelly had a DNF in the first moto so, after he got around me, I just kind of settled down. I didn't want to do anything wild." Hadsell finished second overall with 1-3 finishes, followed by SM City Motorsports/Pro Circuit-backed Aaron Day, who went 5-4 for third overall. Welch (4-5) finished fourth, followed by Saylor, who went 3-9 for fifth overall. Yamaha rider Tim Muterspaugh (7-6) was sixth, Ginolfi was seventh overall, and Mason (6-11) was eighth overall. Joseph Schueler (1 O-B) was ninth, followed by Horrocks, who rounded out the top 10 with B-12 moto scores. eN Budds Creek MX Plrk Budds Creek, Mlryllnd Results: September B-9, zaaz 125 A/PRO: 1.
