But his bid for two titles came up short when he suffered a bad start and a flat front tire while coming through the pack in the final 85cc (14-15) moto. This allowed Honda's Josh Grant, a Californian, to win the class with consistent 2-2-2 scores. Walker, a likeable rider from Tennessee, dominated each moto in the 25+ class, but had to take on Emig in the 30+ class. Emig got the advantage in the first moto, but he crashed his Kawasaki in the second round and plugged his exhuast with dirt, causing a DNF. A bad start held 'Fro back in the third frame, which left Walker with a 2-1-1 score and his eighth LL national title.
