SOBER AUBURN, CA, JULY 26 Former Auburn Speedway track champion Bobby "The Blaze" Hedden found the Gold Country Fairgrounds dirt to his liking as he dominated the night's Division One main events, riding the outside dirt cushion. "Man, that sucker's fun to ride when it's got that dirt out there to play in," said a beaming Hedden after he collected his two trophies. "I'm ready to go back out there and put in a few more laps." Before the Handicap main began, it seemed the healthy-sized midsummer-night speedway faithful could use a little perking up, and 50-yard handicapper Hedden gave it to them with an incredible come-from-the-backyardage win. Hedden started next to fellow veteran Mike Faria, but he immediately left Faria behind on his way past 40-yarder Chad Felicio, 3D-yard man Eric Carrillo, and lowyardage starters Ian Essary and Matt Browne. Browne took the initial lead from the zero-yard line and immediately fell into a dogfight with Essary for the lead. Both Browne and Essary were unaware that Hedden was about to reduce their battle to a struggle over second. l!:l!JW lil..d 'I'll is perfect for everyone!
