a break with a clean holeshot, with D.G. and
Andreini following close behind. D.G. made a
clean pass to the inside, but ltamura quickly
took it back to take first place, making D.G.
settle for second in the moto. However, D.G.
took first overall.
In the Ultimo 500cc Novice class, twin
brothers from Colifomia, both on Maicos, both
made a bid for first place. There is no brotherly love on a motocross track; Keith Geddis
took the 1- 1 tolly over his brother Kenneth
Geddis, who finished 2-2. Kurt Gregory put in
o gallant effort but wos unable to get between
-the Geddis brothers, finishing 3-3.
The second wave of Post-Vintage was
ready to race in the Grand Prix 250cc Inter-
mediate class. Andreini took the win with
o 1-1 tally, over Don Matthews (a.k.a. "Sky

Foster Freezes
Out Chausse

BISHOP, CA. JULY 21
The Golden State Cycle Arenocross Series
kicked off on July 21 with nothing but exciting
rocing action. The show of the night was the
Pro contest. Local pro Pat Foster battled with
Jeremy Chausse until the end. Foster usually
doesn't find thot much competition in Bishop,
but on this night, that oil chonged.
The race started off with a battle for the
holeshot, which went to Foster. Chausse,
however, was right on his tail the whole way,
looking for lines thot could put him in front of
Foster. A few laps later, Chausse found his
chance through the whoops and took a
chance on the inside line. He skated pass
Foster and held on to the lead for the rest of
the race.
In the second moto, Foster was determined
to win the overall. It was a battle, but Foster
got the holeshot and won the overall by
staying in front of Chausse the whole
time. Chausse never let Foster out of his sight,
but Foster kept his lines strong and rode a
strong mota.
Another exciting mota during the evening
was in the 125cc Junior division. Local rider
Casey Dean fought for the lead throughout the
whole race. Throughout the years, Dean has
improved his style and aggression in racing at
the GSC orenacross.
The race was a success, according to race
promoter Randy Gillespie.
"This year's track is definitely the best
we've had, and the racing is awesome,"
Gillespie dedored. "The riders love this track.
The next race in the series will be held August
10 at the Bishop Tri County Fairgrounds."
