ing him going over a tabletop on lap three,
Adams pulled away from Nash, who then had
to contend with an advancing Swartz. At the
checkers, it was the lightning-fast Casillas with
an easy win. Adams finished a distant second,
with Swartz again getting around Nash for
third. Amazingly, Casillas was lapping the
track only one second slower than he had on
his more familiar modem Yamaha YZ.
In the first Over 40 GP Novice mota,
Maico-mounted Gary Mosbacker took the
lead, with Vamaha rider Rick Shelby in second. As Mosbacker distanced himself from the
pack, Shelby dueled with Husqvama-mounted

on to second until the finish, with Meeker
taking third.
In mota two. Mosbacker again quickly
established a lead. Shelby took second. with
Honda-mounted Rodger Clement third. As lap
two finished, Husqvama-mounted Mark Holloway passed Clement for third. Mosbacker,
riding a consistent race. took the overall win.
Shelby placed second, with Holloway taking a
well-eamed third.
